I don't think I'm keeping up quite as well as I had hoped with blogging these days....my days seem to be filled with kickball, running, housework that seems to be never ending, house searching, taking care of kiddos, and attempting at the end of the day to spend a little time with my husband before we're just too exhausted to stay awake anymore....whew!
We had our first kickball game Saturday and lost big time....we're not really sure what we're doing and apparently the other team knew EXACTLY what they were doing! Oh well, we had fun, I got a good workout, and maybe we'll win the next game!? Jonah did get upset because he couldn't sit in the dugout with me during the game, but it was against the rules....he cried and I felt bad for him ;o( After the game we all headed out to Burnet to visit the in-laws....we played kickball there, got eaten by mosquitoes, barbecued, Jason got on his tractor and did some cutting of something in his field, and the kids got filthy dirty! We had a blast!! We totally vegged out on Sunday because we were so tired!
I took the kids to school on Monday because I had to get the oil changed in my truck and waiting in the waiting room for an hour or more with 2 impatient kiddos, is not much fun! So I "took one for the team" and went and sat in their waiting room by myself, alone, nobody bothering me, just me.....awwww.
When I went to pick up the kids, Requay's teacher told me that she had bumped her head on a shelf that she thought she was shorter than....she has this little bruise now on her forehead but she's fine. Requay's teacher also told me that Requay was playing with some "maracas"--Easter eggs filled with beans and then taped closed so they could rattle them and listen to them! The teacher said that Requay had all of them and then started putting them down her shirt, she was wearing a onesie, so they all stopped at the top of her shorts. Her teacher said that Requay looked like she had a bumpy little beer belly with all those eggs down her shirt! :o)
Jonah and I went to kickball practice Monday night and while I tried to catch and kick the ball, all while attempting not to fall or trip, Jonah was making friends with another little boy. They were playing in the dirt, climbing fences, running after balls that went over the fence (there was another field behind ours so he was fine), but all this came to a quick stop when Jonah busted his bottom lip on a metal bench near the field. He's fine, he was just bleeding a little bit and had to drink some blue Powerade to make it feel better!
When Jonah and I got home from our kickball practice, Jason informed me that we needed to eat the bananas that I had just gotten from the store earlier that day because Baby Sister had gotten into them. Jason said that Requay was found taking bites out of each banana (thru the peel) and had already demolished one that she was squishing thru her little fingers! So, if you come over anytime soon, and would like a banana, just keep in mind that they each, all of them, none missed, have little bite marks taken from each of them! :o)
Last night, my sister was passing thru town and stopped to see the kids...they were excited because their Aunt Kimby brought them movies and gifts! At about 10pm Baby Sister just couldn't stay awake anymore, this we can tell by the fussiness that escalates, so she had to say her good-byes to her Aunt Kimby and go to bed....baby was sleepy!!
Oh and I forgot to mention..... on Monday when I went to drop off the kids at school, Miss Nikki, a teacher at the school, was there and she asked me to put Requay in the table with the seats already built in so Requay could have some honey bun. Well, Requay, still cries when her Mommy drops her off, so of course she started crying and stretching her legs outward so that they both wouldn't fit in the chair at the same time. When we (and by we I mean Miss Nikki and I--it took both of us to wrestle her in that chair) got her in the chair and got her buckled in, Miss Nikki took a little of her honey bun and offered it to Requay.....Requay was crying as Miss Nikki was attempting to hand the piece of honey bun to her and Miss Nikki said, "Wow, that's not like Requay to turn down food".....She's her mother's daughter for sure!!
And then this morning when I dropped the kids off, Requay again started crying (It SO breaks my heart to see my babies cry and for me to have to leave them.....I HATE IT!!!) but anyway, Requay was crying and just stood there with her little hands covering her face, where she couldn't see at all. So dramatic!! Oh and just FYI, if she doesn't get her way, she pouts--her little bottom lip pops out as far as I think it will go and she'll sometimes push things in her way, out of her way! Little drama queen with a temper like her Daddy....love you Babe!
Better get to doing something other than blogging, so write more later.........
