Happy Halloween!

Well, no Halloween pictures yet, but we'll surely take some tonight to share with you tomorrow!

Jonah wore his Halloween t-shirt with shorts to school today because after all the pants we just got him this past weekend, he didn't want to wear any of them today! He's gotten SO picky in his clothes! Wranglers is about the only thing he likes these days and I was only able to find 1 pair at the resale stores...guess we'll have to keep checking back with all those stores! FUN!! And as for Baby Girl, well she wore her Halloween shirt with her black Halloween pants!! I found these cute little black pants at the resale store with little pumpkins and candy corns at the bottom of one leg--perfect for Halloween! (I get so excited about the great deals I find at these resale stores!!)


Jonah took his costume with him to school today because he told me last night on the way home, very excitedly, that his teacher, Miss Angie, had told them that they could wear their costumes to school....Jonah was super excited to be able to show off his costume as well as his new shoes! In fact, on Monday when he didn't go to school, he wanted me to take him just so he could show his friends his new shoes! Crazy little man! Anyway, the kids are having a Halloween party this afternoon at school....that should be loads of candy, I mean fun!

So what are our plans for trick-or-treating tonight? Well, we usually just hit the few houses that we know around us and usually we get more than enough candy to last us for a while! I think they're also having something at the high school for the little kids too, so we may check that out as well. Not too sure how long we'll be out because tonight's a "school night" and we stay on the go on school nights normally, so attempting to add other stuff is quite a juggle!


We watched "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" last night--classics--oh what good memories! I used to watch all those Charlie Brown cartoons when I was little too and Jonah thought that Snoopy pretending to be the Red Barron and flying an airplane from the top of his doghouse was just the funniest! He also mentioned that there was another little boy, Linus, that sucked his thumb too! Yes, we're still messing with that whole trying to get him to stop sucking his thumb thing! He knows he shouldn't, but it's such a habit for him now that sometimes his thumb ends up in his mouth and he doesn't even realize it. He still likes his cotton balls though!

Well, I should probably try to do some work today......so until tomorrow, hope you all have a safe and happy Halloween!!

Home Run.........kinda!

Well, we had our "double header" this past weekend and on Sunday's game, Jonah his a HOME RUN!!! Well, it kinda was a home run because you see in t-ball games, the last batter runs all the way!! So call what you want, but me, being Jonah's Mom--I'm calling it a home run!! He also ran into the little boy on 2nd base cause he wasn't running fast enough....the little boy fell on his face and Jonah kept running...he ran all the way to home base before that other little boy made it to 3rd base!! Little slugger!

And well Requay cheered her big brother on wearing her cheerleader outfit! At one point in the game, she was actually out on the field with Jonah.....sippy cup of milk in one arm, cheerleader outfit on, and in baseball stance like her brother!

Jonah had a dental check-up yesterday so he got to stay at home with Mom all day! He was such a good little boy! His check-up went very well--no cavities!! And he got a new toothbrush, a tattoo, and a cool car! He was pretty excited....he likes going cause his dentist has TV's on the ceiling for him to watch while he's lying there! And then they put on earphones to hear the TV and cool shades over his eyes to block out the light that the dentist uses! I hope he always feels that way about the dentist!

Well, not too much else going on over here--we did go get some warm clothes for the kids and went Halloween costume shopping! Here is a scary picture for all of you....don't be too scared!

Friday Already

Another week down and next week is Halloween! I asked Jonah what he wanted to be for Halloween the other day and he said, "I guess we can go look at the store or something." Apparently he has no idea what he wants to be now and would like to keep his options open! He is just getting too smart!!

We do need to go get some "winter" clothes, well at least some pants for the kids. Jonah wore shorts to school today because he didn't want any of the four pair of pants I had out for him! He has gotten really picky! He'd wear his Wranglers every day if he could....and if they didn't have holes in the knees! So he wore his long-sleeve "Cars" shirt with shorts and took his big winter coat in case he got cold! The teachers at his school probably think that I'm crazy for dressing my baby like that! And as for Baby Girl's winter apparel, well, she has a few of those wonderful hand-me-downs that we love so much, but you know girls--we could always use more!! So we're going shopping this weekend--to the resale stores of course!

Since it's been getting cold, Baby Girl has started doing this little thing when she is cold.....she'll say "brrrrr" and then close her fists real tight up by her side and shake a little like she's shivering! (She can thank her Mommy for that!) It's so cute! I wish I could take pictures of her many facial expressions and the little things she does! She's so funny!!

We had t-ball pictures last night instead of practice....guess what you'll be getting soon! Anyway, none of the parents got the email about the pictures until yesterday morning--SO, the most of the team wasn't there and some kids didn't even have their uniforms! It was horrible!! I, fortunately, was able to get my email so we went home to get Jonah's uniform to take pictures in, but I felt horrible for the kids and the parents too that had not gotten the email. (Our coach isn't as good as last year's coach!) We did the best we could in such a short amount of time....we'll probably try to take a better group picture after or before one of our games sometime. We have kind of a double header this weekend with t-ball....we have a game Saturday morning and then another one Sunday afternoon! Two games in the same weekend...the kids will think it's a double header for sure! We'll see how they go!

Jonah, unfortunately, was unable to put a quarter in his "Bed Time Jar" this morning because he was up until almost midnight reading books and playing with his cars. Jason and I were working on bills (ick) and Jonah would come in and say......"I was asleep but then I heard a noise and it woke me up." I've put Jonah's Spider-Man alarm clock right by his little head and he won't wake up for it, so I'm thinking he may have been stretching the truth a bit!

Well, other than our "double header" t-ball games this weekend, we don't really have too much else going on for the weekend. We definitely need to get some warmer clothing for the kiddos, but other than that, nothing special. Hope you all have a great and blessed weekend! Blog ya later!

The Negotiation Process

You know as you grow up, you learn how negotiation is an important part of life.

Jonah receives an allowance of $1 every 2 weeks and with his last allowance money he bought a Spider Man alarm clock. Which by the way is missing a head now, but anyway.....So Jason decided that Jonah could earn another dollar if he went to bed without fussing for a whole week! Well, Jonah comes back with "how bout $3". Jason and I couldn't help but laugh because at 4 years old, he is attempting to negotiate his way into a higher pay bracket! Smart Kid! Well, Jason was as surprised as I was and I suggested that he get a quarter every morning if he goes to bed without hassle and without fussing the night before! Wish we'd of thought of this a long time ago because last night, we set his Spider Man alarm clock to go off at 9:00 pm and as soon as Jonah heard it ringing, he turned off the TV, got his glass of water and headed off to bed!!! I tucked him and he went to bed and Jason and I got to spend time together earlier than 11 o'clock at night!! I couldn't believe it.....I mean who knew?!

This morning, I went to get Baby Girl up out of bed and I started "getting her patitas (little feet in Spanish)" and she would just laugh and move to a corner of her crib. But after a while, she started pretending to be "getting me" and she would wiggle her little fingers on my pansa (tummy in Spanish) and I would shriek like she was really getting me! She thought it was funny!

And, well we're still messing with Baby Girl's diaper rash, but it is getting much better! (Keep her little bum in your prayers still!) She is so funny with her facial expressions that I can't help but laugh at her! She has so many expressions and sometimes she's a bit dramatic with them. (Lord only knows where she gets that from!) Tonight while she was eating dinner, she kept thinking she heard a dog and she would stop eating, open her eyes wide open, and open her little mouth--her mouth looked like the mouth off of the "Scream" movie. It was SO funny! And then she would bark like the dog too! :o)

Well, it's already Wednesday and we have t-ball practice tomorrow......so until next time, happy reading and good-night!

"I Love you Too Much"

Lucky you! You get to read about my kiddos two days in a row! And lucky for you also, Meg sent some pictures that she took of my babies!!

Last night I was putting Jonah to bed and tucking him in, as well as I can tuck someone in on a mat beside my bed, and I was hugging him and he was hugging me and sometimes he'll hug me REAL tight and I'll tell him that it's too tight of a hug. So when he gave me my tight hug last night, I told him that I couldn't breath and even started talking funny like he had taken all the air out of me and he told me that he had to hug me that tight--he said, "It's because I love you too much!" I love it!!

And I put Baby Girl to bed and we have this routine in the evenings where she tells her "Bubba" good-night and then we go to her Daddy and give him kisses and then I'll tell her to tell her Daddy good-night and she'll say "nite" and then I'll tell her to tell her Daddy love you and she'll say "uv you" and then I'll tell her to tell her Daddy that she'll see him in the morning and she'll say "moring"......she doesn't talk that good but when I tell her what to say, you can definitely make it out!

Last Saturday, October 20, was my Mom's birthday and so we of course had to call Lita for her happy birthday! Jonah sang happy birthday to her and Baby Girl told her word by word "Happy" " Birthday" "Lita". She likes talking on the phone and sometimes I'll catch her with my cell phone up to her little ear holding it with her shoulder and just blabbering! It's too cute...and probably a little glimpse of the future!

This morning while attempting to get out of the house for school and work, Baby Girl felt it was necessary to take her babies to school too! So here is this teeny tiny little girl with 4 babies that are almost as big as her walking out to the truck on a cool morning--nice! She could barely see where she was going, she had so many babies. She's so cute though because she has to have all her babies in bed with her at night when she goes to bed. They include, Pooh Bear, Piggie, Other Piggie, Bunny, and 2 baby dolls!! Sometimes I wonder if she'll have room in her crib for herself to sleep! :o)

The Weekend and the Best Monday!

The weekend is over and here we go to start a new week again....is time flying by or what?! It's already gonna be "the holidays"!!

Jonah had t-ball game #2 on Saturday. It went by pretty quick because the other team only had like 5 or 6 players and I know one left in the middle of the game because he was crying and his mother was getting on to him about how he needed to decide whether he wanted to play t-ball or cry on the field! These are some hard core t-ball parents! So that only left like 4 or 5 players on the other team. And since we don't keep score, the games kinda go a bit fast with fewer players! I think though that Jonah is ready to move up to the "hard stuff".....he seems to be bored out on the field with all those kids who are just learning how to play. I guess I'll be checking out other leagues for him to join and see how he likes that.

And where was Requay during her big brother's t-ball game you might ask.....well, she kept herself quite busy bringing me rocks of various sizes! At one point, she took off, but she's so tiny it didn't take long for her Daddy to catch up to her! (She thought she was going fast!)

We didn't do much after the t-ball game except normal routine things around the house like cleaning and napping and stuff! We went to church Saturday night because we had a pretty full day scheduled for Sunday (more after these messages). Requay and I went to church by ourselves. Jonah needed a nap and was fu-u-u-u-u-ssy and just fighting everything like crazy....so instead of making me crazy in Jesus' house, we decided that it would be best for all involved for Jonah to stay home and take a nap!

So what did we do Sunday you ask? Well, you know we've been looking for a house, so we continued our house hunt! We saw a lot of nice properties and it's really interesting how people choose to decorate the inside of their houses! We didn't find any houses we just had to have, so we decided we'd just keep on looking.....God's got a nice piece of land and house just waiting for us--I know it!! (But if you would like to say your own little prayer that God leads us to "the home of our dreams" that would be just fine by us! Thanks for the prayers!!)

On to not so exciting stuff......We've been dealing with fighting a real bad diaper rash that Baby Sister has, so I decided that I would keep the kids at home with me on Monday so that I could make sure she stayed dry. And boy were they excited when they heard that Aunt Meg, Baby Katy and Baby Allen were coming!! (Meg is my best friend from the 7th grade! Hi Meg!)

Meg called Monday morning to see if we had any "plans"....and of course we didn't have any after that call! So we decided, unanimously, that instead of cleaning house and running errands on a typical Monday, we would LOVE to play with Baby Katy and Allen! The kids play really well together and Meg and I started tag teaming them! Like Meg told Katy to eat her food and Katy just ignored her (normal) and then I told her the same thing and she picked up some fries (not normal). So Meg and I enjoyed playing that game with the kids and catching up on everything that had been going on in our lives since the last time we saw each other! I'm pretty sure the kids played non-stop and Meg and I talked non-stop! The only times we had to stop talking was when there was a kid who needed a diaper change or to be fed! It's so nice to share "Mom war stories" with each other! And I'm not the only Mom who considers the french fry one of the world's best food groups for kids!! :o)

So I guess all in all, we had a productive and exciting fun-filled weekend! I think the kids would agree with me when I say that the best part of our weekend was getting to play with Baby Katy and Allen....oh and catching up with Aunt Meg!!

Well, I better say good-night for now....tomorrow's a "school day" and we'll be getting up early in the cold morning, so until I find some more "free time".....happy reading and good-night!

Just the Weekend

Well, we had our first t-ball game this past Saturday! I don't know if any of you have ever been to a t-ball game before, but they are the most hilarious sports out there!! Jonah did pretty well, he hit the ball straight from the t at first bat and sent it flying into the outfield. He then ran to first base while the other team dog piled onto the ball! It was a perfect hit and a perfect run!!

What's so funny you may ask? Well, there was this little girl we were watching on the other team that kept playing with her hair throughout the game.....she didn't run after the ball and her hat was so low she had to look up just to see in front of her..... and then there was this other little boy whose Mom was running with him and at one point, I believe that she became more excited about the game than the kid because she was running much faster than the little boy and as she's holding his hand running to home base, he falls and she continues running....dragging the kid!!! It was SO funny......Baby Girl shared her Captain Crunch cereal with the cows that were on the other side of the fence. Oh and every now and then, she would cheer for her big brother!

We didn't do much Saturday......except watch as the Aggies got beat.....(I know Sara, I know) But at least we scored!! We went to look for some properties after the game was over--to try and cheer us up after that bad game....we didn't find anything though! Oh well, we have to keep our faith up that God will show us the right property and for Jason's sake, at the right price too!

There was no Jesus school this weekend because our church was having a women's retreat so I decided to get up early and go to the early mass and left the kids asleep.....WOW.....so much is said at church when you actually get to listen!! We went to look at more property on Sunday with our real estate agent and one of the pieces we looked at....Jonah said that he had found dinosaur tracks on!! Pretty amazing stuff.....especially since they looked more like tire tracks, but whatever. (He's been seeing "Jurassic Park.")

And let's see....last night, Jason walked in to our bedroom and Requay was laying in our bed, under the covers, eating chips out of a bowl! I took a picture and will try to get in on here.....we had to dust out all the chip crumbs after that! She just looked as relaxed as she could be there in our bed.

Requay has been singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" alot lately! And I guess they do hand symbols with it at her school cause she'll tap her little thumb with her first finger and hold them up above her head! She really only knows the twinkle twinkle little star part, and she doesn't say those exact words, but you know what she's saying especially when she uses her little hands to sing with!! Requay also likes to dance.....she will dance to whatever music she hears.....it could be the radio in the truck or just a song from a commercial and she'll start dancing! Her little legs start pumping up and down, her head starts bouncing, and her little hands are in a little fist like hold so she can dance! Guess I should try to get her into ballet or dance or something!!

Well, no plans yet for Halloween.....I mean as far as costumes go. I think Requay will be a ladybug and Jonah had talked about being Batman.....but we'll see if he changes his mind before then! Until later....happy reading!

We're Back!

Hello...Yes, I know I haven't written in a while and as much as I would like to say that the reason that I haven't written is because my kiddos have done absolutely nothing cute or worth writing about.....I can't! They have done so much, but we've been so busy--get ready for some good bathroom blog reading!


OK, so let's see.....Jonah started t-ball last week! We have our first game this weekend against the "Orioles"....should be a good game cause we're both 0-0! Jonah has a year of t-ball experience "under his belt" so he knew where to run and how to hit the ball! He's like a pro! And well, Baby Girl goes and cheers her brother at his practices! We had our first practice last week and Jason was out on the field helping Jonah and typically she'll take her Mommy over her Daddy but on THAT particular day......"Da-Da, Da-Da, Da-Da!" She HAD to be with her Daddy and she couldn't.....she was crying and walking out to him with her little arms stretched out like he was leaving forever or something! It was so funny...she's so dramatic sometimes....wonder where she gets that from?!


Requay has taken to biting when she is trying to "get her way".....she usually only bites her brother since that is her only defense against him. And when we get on to her, she puckers her little bottom lip out and gives you those sweet little eyes and it takes an act of God not to smile at her and just hug her....but she can't be biting! I remember when I was little, about 5 years old, I stayed with some friends of ours and Timmy, their son, bit me really really hard that I'm pretty sure other people probably thought I was being abused! Anyway, Timmy's Mom wanted me to bite him back to try to teach him not to bite, well, being the good little girl that I was, I knew better than to bite, so I didn't and wouldn't bite Timmy. So his Mom bit him--HARD!! I'm pretty sure it was harder than my bite! Timmy never bit me again.....

Anyway, Jonah came home one day singing songs....I don't think he really knows all the words to the songs, but he was trying! One of them was about how he was "going on a bear hunt" and the other was "Cause I'm in the Lord's Army"....these both have hand and foot symbols to go with them, but I don't know them and I don't believe Jonah knows them either, but he tries anyway! It amazes me how much they learn when your not even teaching them! The other day even Baby Girl was singing...not that she's talking where you can understand her, but still, you could definitely make out what she was singing! One of them sounded like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and then her ABC's....wait I think those are the same tunes....whatever--my baby knows 2 songs!

Jonah started "Jesus school" again.....my church has Pre-School Worship on Sunday mornings during church so Baby Girl and I go drop him off and then we get some "alone, girl time"....well it sounds good anyway! Pretty much, I've realized that this "girl time" that Baby Girl and I get to spend with each other is so much more work cause Jonah's not there to entertain her so she wants to be held, and she wants to run around, and she wants to stand on the pews, and she especially likes standing on the little kneelers and twist her waist so that her little dresses will umbrella out! She likes that alot! So I may not get alot out of mass because I'm wrestling with Requay, but at least He knows I am there and that I'm trying my best! God help me..... :o)

As for Jason and I, well, my suburban is broke--it doesn't like starting in the mornings and that is a pretty important time to me--AND the air conditioner went out a while back so we've been riding with the "4 self controlled air conditioners" down (the windows). Well, we were doing that until I got fed up with the truck and had to get a crash course in how to drive my husband's 4-wheel drive diesel standard truck!! I know.....me in a huge truck! I take my step ladder with me wherever I go just so I can get in that monster! I'm getting much better driving it though....I haven't broken that one yet....had never driven standard before now! Wish me luck......

And my kickball and marathon days have come to a halt.....I messed up my calf muscle playing kickball--although I prefer to call it a "sports related injury"....I tend to get less smirks and laughs that way--so anyway, I am now in physical therapy to help it heal.....it REALLY stinks that I don't get to run, but hopefully I'll still be good to go for the marathon in February! Keep me leg in your prayers!

Well, I mentioned this may be a long one.....I'm gonna try to stay better "connected" with my loyal blog readers from now on! Promise!! So until later.....happy potty reading!
